COVID19 began becoming publicly known in January 2020, there was little coverage.
That was January 2020, and here we are, March 21, 2020, and there is 24/7-hour coverage.
Civilians in any country can surely guess that their government is going to lie to them. They all do it, regardless of the type of government or who the leadership is, they all lie.
It is the POTUS's job to assure social order and keep Americans civil, reassured and calm. Do I think President Trump is lying? Surely, he is, to keep the masses from acting like asses.
Actually, he tried to keep everyone calm telling them a flu-like virus, wash your hands, and everyone bought toilet paper?
Somethings you just can't make up.
As time has gone by, it appears to have spread in our country. Chances of it being an increase due to testing results more than a rise in new cases are high, though. We are just now getting tests available to the public.
What shocks me is the concentration of the named virus. Is it racist?
I do not believe it was intended to be.
Do I think that some people misrepresenting the intent?
Maybe.
Do I think the President should stop calling it “The China Virus,” Well, yes; however, he won’t.
He won’t because he is being childish and stubborn and saying the name just to piss off China.
Do I think he continues to say it as a form of racism?
No, and I believe his childish ways are being misunderstood, and the media is pushing the racism card. It is as if they believe if many say the same thing over again enough, others will believe. That is working for some.
The more the media pushes, the more he pushes. There is a catastrophic toxicity between the two.
The focus should be on keeping people feeling hopeful and united. It is so devastatingly scary to think of governors shutting down entire states. States. Not little towns or cities, the whole country. Now, there are four I know of today, and that is California, New York, Illinois, and Pennsylvania. It could change just in me typing this out, and I type fast!
Everyone you talk to is full of fear.
The elderly, some aged to 80, have reported never seeing conditions like this before. You add that enormous fear plus the media’s push and throw in China’s propaganda campaign, it equates to volatile emotions and thoughts.
I am fearful for people more than I am the virus.
They are saying social distancing, washing your hands, and disinfecting is the key to keeping safe. I think they are right, but I think they forgot to add being understanding and compassionate could be even more successful in keeping us safe.
It is my unpopular opinion that President Trump is doing his best to keep us informed with daily briefings. I think he acted rightly by putting the travel ban on even though the Democratic party (especially Schumer) criticized the President and called him racist towards China. - I am seeing a pattern, are you?
He was screwed either way. If he didn’t shut down borders, more outbreak would have occurred, and they would have blamed him.
Because he shut down borders, he was criticized as being racist and over-reacting.
Today, though, he is being called a racist and accused of not acting fast enough.
He was bound to be blamed and faced with criticism.
I just find it crazy how the Democrats flip-flop their direction and choose not to support anything for resolution. I walked away because of seeing patterns of manipulation and corruption to hold people down and keep them controlled by dependency. I am seeing that once again. If someone spouts the sky is green, watch how fast they will say they see it, too.
It was almost as if the Democratic party and most of Hollywood was visibility and vocally mad that he shut the travel down because enough people didn’t enter?
I am probably wrong.
But I have been wrong before, I voted for Obama, didn’t I?
Do your part - pay attention to hygiene, stay home when you can, and do not blame Chinese people for the corona-virus. Think about the understanding and the empathy you want to but given to you and give it to others.
Just because the President is having a childish tantrum and insists on calling it that does not mean you have to be a dick and take it out on innocent people.
